End of Year Post

Well I should at least post one before the year comes to a close. 2008 has been really a great year for me; mainly because of my official start into my first job. Also many other wonderful times were spent, new things learnt, and new experiences. Hope the new year will be as great. But whatever it is I just wish for everyone to be in the pink of health, and wealth will come naturally.
It'll also be our fourth year soon, and we're gonna do something special this coming year.
Happy New Year 2009 to everyone, and belated Merry Christmas. May all of you remain Rong Guang Huan Fa, Qing Chun Mei Li, Bai Bai Pang Pang, Beng Beng Tiao Tiao!

I failed again.....

Yeah I know, I suck at keeping resolutions. But i'm really so so so sooooooooooooooo tired.....why do things seem more gloomy than before even though it should be better.
Let me sum up my life now. Work. Off -> meet Dy/Karate/rest at home/eat with parents/prepare for work. Work. Off. Worrrrrrk. Off. Work. Off. Worrrrrkk. Off. I have so little time. Like now. I just got home. And i'm going for work again on Saturday till Thursday. Wtf. Tomolo will pass so quickly because i'll have already slept through at least a third of it. And the other 2/3 (rather 1/3 of the day after deducting 1/3 for the night sleeping away again) translates to the activities on Off.
I don't feel like sleeping, but I can't because i'm this [ ] tired. Of course it doesn't seem like a lot, but its because i'm too tired to lengthen that useless space.
True that I may have a lot of time while overseas, but wtf, i want the time to be spent at home! I can't even fully enjoy the belated Deepavali celebration of Thosais and Naans and Dhal and curry at SKA tonight, because I have to worry about Saturday early morning! Fuck this piece of shit. Fuck all the mood spoilers at work.

Pictures from Kota Kinabalu trip 4-9Aug08

Finally! This damn shit of a blog is completed! Warning! Close to 100 pictures! Not for the impatient and oh-so-busy people of Singapore.

Here's a heavy picture blog cum guide to our first little budget backpacking trip to KK, Sabah. Nice, slow-paced city of warm, happy-go-lucky citizens; and of course the same bloody hot weather like Singapore. Just google it if you have no idea where. Took me so many days to complete it, what with the screwed up uploading and arrangements of the pictures.

Some of the pictures are orientated strangely cause all these are not taken by my trusty Nokia 6120 classic handphone camera, but from my girlfriend's digital camera, and the later rafting pictures from a photographer, which is 2mb each! I really can't afford such time so I only chose a few. Still, they're great pictures capturing moments that will be imprinted in our minds forever. Let's embark on our journey.....

First night: 040808 Monday, Singapore - JB

We left our home early in the evening so that we could do some shopping at JB, City Square or some shit like that. Took a train and bus and cleared customs then walked to the shopping centre. Bought some snacks for the climb and some useless accessories which Dy liked. Had our dinner at the local Kenny Rogers, which is cheap but sucked ass. Then it was taxi to Senai airport where we spent the remaining night sleeping on the floor near the check in counters; but not before loitering around the small airport with no shops in operation, and reading our recreational materials which didnt last 3 hours. There was also a lack of sitting areas. Ass. However we managed to nap for about 2-3 hours. Our flight will depart around 7+am. Along the way in cab we had to keep our eyes open and guards up in case we get driven to some ulu corner. Its quite scary actually but thankfully we're safe.

Our Kenny Rogers dinner. So pathetic right.

Second night: 050808 Tuesday JB - KK
Alright so we took our Air Asia flight to KK and then had an arranged transport drive us to our backpacker's hostel. We couldn't check in yet as it wasn't time, so we left our bags and explored the vicinity. There's actually a few shopping centres around our hostel, which I believe was in the city area. And things are cheap. So when we finally checked in, it was almost time for dinner so we headed out to a local marketplace kind of bazaar where there's a lot of food and groceries, but everyone sells the same things. We had Mee Bakso, some fried and big seafood, and other snacks, but we stunk like hell cause of all the smoke. Had to retire early for our climb the next day. (This fucking blogger editor is driving me insane)

Third night: 060808 Wednesday Base of mountain to Laban Rata 'Resort'
Well like I mentioned the editor sucks a shit load of fuckanathan. I had to insert this commentary here. The picture of the potato chips shows that we were already at a considerable altitude and thats why its so bloated. And so we made our first step. Oh ours was a shorter route compared to another, I have no idea why. Anyway the mountain guide don't do much, we're just walking our own mountain. And we climb climb climb climb, and saw the very first creature, a big fat caterpillar. Thats was like almost halfway to our resort. Yeah there were no monkeys or other shit. Except naughty squirrels. And yup we were the first few to reach our resort, but it was quite a climb. We would be resting there until 2am the next day, so as to catch the sunrise.

4th night : 070808 Thursday Laban Rata - Summit - Base - Hotel

After a bad night's rest, we finally made our way to the summit at about 2.45am. It was a cold night, and obviously would get colder higher up. The climb was tougher mainly due to poor rest, if we had just gone up all the way yesterday it would be much easier. We made it up just before sunrise, but unfortunately it was cloudy so couldnt see much. I was freezing by then cos I wasn't wearing much protection and mainly due to touching the cold rocks for support with my bare hands, and there were so many people crowding around and there wasn't much to see so I wanted to get down ASAP. But it was scary. Haha. No shit. Anyway we took a few pictures along the way back and sort of ran down to base. So happy it was over. Yup, and we booked in again and had pizza hut for dinner. Haha.

5th night: 080808 Friday Hotel - Kiulu River - Hotel

This water rafting was quite a disappointment. Intially we thought we had booked for a full day 21km raft at a 3 star river, but found out that there were miscommunication and ended up at a 11km 1 star river, and the river wasn't active that day. But the lunch they provided was nice. All in all still a good experience. Also as a result of this full day-turned-half day event, we had to check in again. With our legs sore we had bak kut teh, some more bbq food from the market, and watched the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony. Haha.

6th day: 090808 Saturday KK - JB - Sin - NDP at SKA

I can't really say we're dying to go back home, since we were really quite enjoying the relaxed and cheap lifestyle, we even had a massage, and played quite a bit of arcade games. But it was good to be home. Because we had another event to attend to! Think the whole trip we spent about $1700 altogether? Good stuff. Be planning our next trip soon~

:o(

Alright, I finally failed in my resolution. To punish myself I shall do 20 squats, 20 push ups and 40 crunches, tomorrow. Hah. I'm getting a little fat. It's really tough for me to keep it, as I've started my driving practicals and taking two morning lessons on my off days, and then karate. And sad to say, i'm quite a slow learner, but I drive too fast sometimes.
Oh i'll be going Kota Kinabalu from 4th to 9th, in time to celebrate the Nation's birthday at SKA. Much of the research for the trip is done by my darling. Time for her to be independant. Hehe. Thanks dear. Been long since I had a good partying time at SKA. Be on leave until 13th. And am already dreading when work starts, probably be dragging myself there.
As usual i'm having my supper now, after training. And then sleep like a 100kg weight.
Alright, i'll continue part 2 of the Hotel's series. This time its about shower heads. I hope I can locate the picture I took from one of Australia's hotel.
You know what's so fucking pissing about shower heads? It can't be detached, or have limited angles to turn about. It makes bathing so inconvenient especially when you want to wash certain secret areas like my ear holes, and of course my fat ass. Oh and the worst is when the water level is so bloody low that you feel so omfg helpless because it can't be adjusted and you just have to stand under the fucking thing and try to tip toe to reach more water faster so as to wash off the overflowing shampoo. But you know its a god damn joke when the shower head is as big as your head, or a soccer ball, or whatever but its just too fucking big to be true. I mean like, wtfing shit is that supposed to mean. The feeling is like giving you a nicely wrapped up present but it's full of shit inside. Come on man don't they test proof it before implementation? This sucks huge bull testicles. I'm really so pissed with this because one of my enjoyments in life is to have a good bathe, especially after work where I smell so strange, or after training to relax. And that's not all. They come with both a shower area, and a bath tub! What a bummer!
See this fucking thing? I'm not lying right, oh but this particular one is in Houston, wait till I get my hands on the Melbourne one. Bloody shit. I can't take it anymore.

Frankly, i've lost track of the pictures to upload, so i'll anyhow load for this month first. Houston is a peaceful little city, or at least the area i was in.

Moscow sucks Gorilla balls.

Still in time

:o) Haha. I refuse to fail in my resolution. No way man. Cause I have some bullshit to blog about anyway. But first let me just do the boring part.
May has been an interesting month.
1) Long trips to Christchurch, and this current Moscow/Houston. Though it kind of sucks cos I miss home. And my Dy. And my new sheep soft toy which makes a 'Baaa' sound when you turn it 360 face down, batteries not required.
2) Karate seminar. A Sensei Tomiyama came down all the way from some part of UK to teach us basics. Sounds strange but its good stuff, makes me review certain aspects of training. I've got 2 pictures, but its quite useless.
3) Dy's birthday! Though I couldn't really celebrate for her, I hope she enjoyed whatever I could.
Time pasts very quickly for me so although there only three points above, they mean much to me.
Oh recently I've been re-watching videos of the Angry Video Game Nerd. Not sure if any of you know him, but here's the link, have a good laugh on a shitty day! http://cinemassacre.com/AVGN/Nes_Nerd_videos.html
I feel that i've been greatly influenced by him too. Have I said this before somewhere? Feels like Deja Vu.....
Uh huh. Lastly, i'm supposed to blog about this since April. Dy has been bugging me about it. Sometime in April we went for a jog together after donkey years. Well, it was a great jog. Evening time, comfortable weather, comfortable attire. So we were jogging randomly and Dy decided to bring me to Toa Payoh. But in the end I was the one to bring her there, by showing her places I used to hang around in the neighbourhood as a kid. Eventually we used the underpass and overhead pass and viola, Toa Payoh! But guess what, we went to eat Crystal Jade! Sweaty and smelly and filthy, but she led the way and I followed suit. Should have brought along my card, then we could have had a better dinner. So since I didn't and only had 10 bucks with me, we ate Xiao Long Bao. Was there something else too? Oh dear. I guess the staff were quite appalled and pissed cos I wet their furniture with my soaked ass. But we enjoyed our Bao anyway. And jogged a different route back home. What an adventure for us.
Ok, now for the nonsense stuff. I'm gonna talk about fucked up hotel rooms. Every blog I'm gonna talk about something bad about it. And mind you, these are 4/5 star hotels; not four fifth, its four or five. I will try to post pictures of rooms i've been in, and hopefully I don't get sued for defamation or any other shit because it's a matter of reputation and not monetary claims. But thats another story for some other time, if I feel like it.
Back to the rooms. You won't believe how ridiculous some of them are, but its so fucking true. The thought of it makes me wanna drown in my own fart.
So this is the first in the series of fucked up hotel rooms; Clocks. Congratulations you piece of shit. What kind of a fucking hotel room doesn't provide you with time man. I can't imagine a room without clocks. Can you? Even some toilets have the courtesy to let you time your shit, but how can a hotel room go without a clock or watch or timer or whatever the fuck that gives the slightest clue of the current local time? Even the TV doesn't show you the local time because its showing cable TV. Wtf man. You've got to do your own maths and calculate your own GMT or UMT or UHT, or keep a mental clock and stay awake the whole time or keep calling the reception and getting pissed off by the bloody bloodsuckers or if you're that hardworking enough, go down to the lobby where sometimes there's a display of a thousand time zones. Yeah right. Why don't you just re-use one of it in one the rooms to make my stay more comfortable. It doesn't really make me feel comfortable to have a clock, but it's definitely uncomfortable without one, you know what I mean? Kiss my ass if you don't. It's just unforgivable to leave out this one basic necessity of life, which has followed us through the passage of time. I just can't get myself over this traumatic experience. Yeah I know, I have a phone and sometimes a watch, thank goodness, but what's the point if you're gonna pay so much money to inconvenience yourself. I've got other better things to worry about in life, like what time my favourite cartoon is showing, what time I have to sleep so I don't get insomnia from time difference, what time I have to wake up so I can have enough time to sleep again, what time I have to brush my teeth by, what time to eat so my bowels don't screw up at the most crucial point, what time to plan for my next time etc. Damn it. I could go on with this crap but I'm really cut out of time.
I'm gonna take a break for now.

Once per month blogging

Without realising, I have actually kept to my new year's resolution so far, in fact March there's two posts, but since the latest one is near month-end it shall be considered an April posting. Also. to add more value to the advanced posting, this word blog plus some pictures of me and Dy will be included. Haha. Sounds like so damn serious man. If there's such a thing as pay-per-read, whereby each view I receive on my blog per post earns my 10c, or 5c, I would be very happy and donate it to a charity organisation, or maybe SKA, hahaha. Maybe they should have, or maybe there already is. Otherwise the next person who brings this idea to life will be considered plagiarism and I can claim inventorship, if there's such a thing. But I have no copyright or patent to speak about. So, fuck man.

I bought a Nintendo Wiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!! Comes with one normal controller and one disc of game. And bought an additional controller with game, and another shitty 30-in-1 game which I am going to sell to cash converter hoping to rope in at least $7. Total cost for that was about $750. Hahaha I must have been crazy. But the games can last quite long for the whole family and although there is this urge to buy new games, I will hold on as long as I can.

My phone bills for the past two months has been $126.11 and $134.70 respectively. And fucking India charges the highest. Fuck you man. F-U-C-K Y-O-U.

I seem to have lost my sense of humor. Though I've gained more confidence and trust in work. But I think being able to laugh heartily is more important. Haven't had that for donkey ages.

Oh i'm quite excited at the Bendemeer Secondary School Alumni games day. Though I have no idea what is it about, I am still excited like a little boy receiving a new toy. Speaking of which, my nephew has quite a bit of cheap toys. The bad ass likes to play balls, and is now learning to walk on his own.

Oh yeah latest update about the game disc transaction. I managed to sell it for a standard price of $15. Great success. I continued this post from two days ago. So today i'll concentrate on the pictures. Just five will do, maybe two.

Pictures from Bombay, Auckland, Tokyo

I got cheated, or rather willingly paid an extra fare for a one-way Tuk Tuk ride in Bombay, because I couldn't be bothered to talk more to the bloody driver. All bloodsuckers there. I still don't like India, no matter how Incredible or cheap, whether its Bombay or Ahmedabad. But the surprising thing in the Bombay hotel is they've got a VERY well-equipped gym. And nice pool, but cold.

Auckland's city central is so similar to Australia that I wish I was at Australia, shorter flight and stay.

Tokyo, Narita. One of my favourite locations. Interesting and exquisite goods sold. Too bad Dy is not there.

Osaka and London~

Osaka, Japan - Land of small dicks and huge desires. And Pachinko machines.

London was cool, and windy. Didn't do much. The monument on the last picture is made of gold.

Pictures from Male (Maldives) and Paris for the Lunar New Year

Male is a small island resort. Can do 2.4km there. Look closely at some of the pictures and you can see the shy shy crabs! And the bird is so tall!

Paris Paris, the city of branded goods~ Some of the pictures are taken over Himalayas. And the ducks are so cute!
