I'm back~!!!!!
Actually it's almost a week since I came back to Singapore. Been too busy and tired to even log on to the net.
But today, I'm on MC! hahaha. Shall explain why later on.
There's too many things to update and blog about, and many others that I've already clean forgotten. I'll try to keep it short.
First and foremost, the tournament.
In my previous post, I mentioned that I hope for a smooth flight. It didn't happen.
The flight from Singapore to Kuching was fine, and the fish served with potatoes tasted fine too. But my ears were jammed by the air pressure and hurted a lot. When we touched down at Kuching for a transit to Kota Kinabalu, my ears cleared a little. But what the heck just clear only have to board the plane and get them blocked again.
The transit flight was terrible.
For some reasons which until now I have no idea what about, the flight was delayed for 45mins, after we boarded it. Shit. Good thing it hadn't taken off yet. After the delay we finally left for KK, and I experienced the worst landing in the whole trip. Apparently the runway was a little too dark for the pilot. The whole plane bounced on the ground and the whole place shook. I thought that was it, haven't even see the enemy I die already.
Sabah is quite like Singapore. It's slightly less advanced than us, in terms of technology and the system of doing things, but other than that, nothing much differs. But it's quite disadvantegeous if you didn't know Malay.
We had a good time in the hotel pillow-fighting and playing cards and the only regret was, no beer.
The tournament? A bad experience.
Kata, I fumbled. Yes Siti, I got so nervous that I couldn't get good stances. I probably chose the wrong pattern as well.
Kumite, I fought like a dog, but I couldn't get any points. I dunno who to blame.
I was very upset with my results.
But the kids did very well, 90% claimed bronze medals.
And the Iranians were very good. Even the Japanese had a tough time with them.
Overall, it was still a good experience as I think I know what to improve on. But I probably won't have another chance to fight overseas, or even prestigious tournaments again.
On Monday we left for Singapore.
Again, the second flight was shitty. We encountered rough weather and the plane was shaking here and there in mid-air, and I lost a kit kat from the lunchbox because of that.
Back to Singapore, settled some admin stuffs, and went back home to rest.
I only bought the tournament t-shirts for myself, and nothing else. Oh yes I also bought tissue, haha $1+ ringgit only. I think there were a total of 12 packets of tissue. How cheap. Besides that, there really wasn't anything nice to buy.
Tuesday, attachment starts for me!
So boring, but first day arleady got many things to do. Coudln't really understand wtf the boss talking. And my work revolves mainly around typing and amending letters, reports, etc.
It sucks, but the boss is a nice guy. We are allowed to use the gym and swimming pool and we have a free coffeemaker. haha. Well after work, it was back to Karate. It feels good to train again after resting my joints and muscles. I was really tired and sleepy by the time I wanted to watch Wo Cai. So I went to bed after watching half of it.
Wednesday is the same routine.
Good thing I have two friends to accompany me there.
Thursday was the day I was looking forward to! It's Ska's 40th anniversary dinner and dance! yeah man this year's dinner was great! I totally enjoyed myself. It was held at Stamford Ballroom. The ballroom was nicely designed, and the food was goooooooood. I received two awards, one appreciation award, and the other, now one of the most important things in my life, my shodan certificate. I felt like a star yesterday. Cos I kept going up the stage. Even for the games, I was picked by the emcee to be a horse called 'Hot Stuff'. whahaha. Two other friends were picked as well, and the objective of the game is to reach the other end of the dancefloor first. The emcee would walk around the ballroom letting people choose one out of three eggs which had our 'names' on it. Hot Shot was really Hot and I claimed victory thanks to the guests. Before the game started the guests were invited to give their names to the horse which they felt would win the race. I received quite a lot of votes, and I would drop their names into a bin for a lucky draw after the race if I won. So I did, and I was to pick 5 lucky winners to received prizes. Coincidentally 4 out of 5 were girls from the same table. And then I was told present the prizes to them. Hahaha really felt like a VIP sia. And then after that I was to give 4 numbers to everyone because I'm a lucky horse. 0781. Go buy it. $10 Big $120 small.
I ate quite a lot, and drank not too much. But this year I danced, ahahhah. With many people doing many different kinds of dance which weren't really dances. It was very fun. After the dinner we went back to Ska for more drinks and Karaoke! hahahaaha. I was so tired that I didn't know what time I slept. Should be sometime around 4am.
And today, I took mc! hahaha. Costed $12.20 for it, but nvm lah since I am genuinely ill. Feels so good to be home now~
Ahhh took a lot of weird photos. ehehe. This will be a day I will never forget.....
