Year 2008
Happy Year 2008 to all.
First post of the year on the first day of the year. Maybe let's make my new year resolution to be: to blog at least once a month this year :o)
Let me back track a bit. To Christmas.
Christmas eve was one of the most memorable. Half day at work. And they were doing some silly carolling. But our class made merry and entertained ourselves, because we were hungry. The chicken they served for buffet is not bad. Haha. Popped a last one as I sneaked out to freedom.
Then a few of us more hardworking ones went to somewhere in Bugis where they have this huge costumes shop! So interesting and well-equipped. They even have the big mascot dresses. But I didn't take any photos. And I don't remember the shop and road name. After some time there we decided we didnt need costumes for our performance. And went home to do more graduation work. Speaking of which. I never enjoyed doing this graduation thing. And I had to be the vice-chairman. Do so many things nobody realise. Sucks. Luckily the end result was a rewarding cheer from the audience. But thats another story.
So ya I was home and editing the music. And really didn't want anything else to spoil my Christmas mood. So I gamed with Mindy. Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction. Oh yeah. Retro!
We played all the way till 8+, forgetting about everything else in this world, finally completing act 5 and the game in normal mode. Hahaha it was so frustrating but luckily we didn't give up like a loser in diapers. Love this game. Currently we're in Nightmare difficulty! And it's a real nightmare. Can't imagine Hell Difficulty.....
But finally we met up. At suntec city. Had dinner at one of the basement chinese restaurant. And their xiao long bao was good! But still lose to crystal jade. Then we wandered a bit, play games at arcade, hahah we're really suckers for gaming, and ended up at NYDC because I have been having a craving for a good mudpie since the one in Adelaide totally twarted my taste bud. And a subsequent one at Secret Recipe didn't live up to its name. But this one at NYDC, I think I was really not that hopeful so it was acceptable. There was a cute little elephant soft toy at our seat. So nice to play with hahahaha.
Eventually we reached Esplanade and found a place to seat and enjoy the breeze while waiting for the time to come. I brought along a large white candle that some dickhead in class gave as a gift. But this rude bloody malay policeman stopped us after it burned for a bit because it was too near a high power cable. Wtf man if the material of the cable is capable of withstanding a 1000-voltage current whats a small candle in the wind to it. Fucker spoilt the whole thing.
And we decided it was time to go home. And guess how? We wanted to walk back, but ended up doing a 500m race from Suntec convention to chijmes bus stop. All wet and scruffy we boarded the bus after a buffer time. What a day.
Christmas itself wasn't that special. Nobody ate the dinner I bought. Hai.
Ok, I graduated on 27th. Like I said, my section of the performance received the greatest positive response. Cos it was a self-defence demonstration. Suckers never see people being thrown before. Hahaha. But I guess the girls were spectacular thats why.
Right, the next big thing would be last night's New Year eve celebration. After a whole day, and last, sad one, at work, it was such a relieve to see my dear at PS. We had the New Year's set meal at Manhattan. Not bad but I think the original is still way better. Then we gamed (!), and did some tidbits shopping before heading home for facial! Hahah omg. Such a gay thing. But I did it anyway. Then we went to SKA! And saw the fireworks from a flat nearby. Great day. Guess what, we LODed again this morning. Ooh yeah
Gotta go be a cleaner at SKA le. Late already.
Happy New Year~
